- Filipino Broadcast Executives featured in Singapore Leaders’ Summit
- The Singapore Media Festival will run from November 28 to December 9, 2018
The biggest network executives in the Philippines are on the spotlight as they come together to share their insights on the country’s media and entertainment industry during the Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF)’s Leaders’ Summit. The event, which centers on the theme “The Next New,” focuses on discovering the latest trends and addressing the creative challenges in Asia’s entertainment content industry.
Said panel features Carlo Katigbak, Chief Executive Officer of ABS-CBN Corporation, Guido Xavier Zaballero, Chief Marketing Officer of Cignal TV, Inc., and Vincent “Chot” Reyes, President and Chief Executive Officer of TV5 Network, Inc. The Leaders’ Summit is part of the ATF and the Singapore Media Festival (SMF) where the Philippines is this year’s Country of Focus through the leadership of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
“We’re proud that the Leaders’ Summit will highlight a panel focusing on Philippine entertainment content with no less than the big bosses of our country’s most influential networks as panelists. Film and TV are inevitably entwined in the same industry and we’re grateful that Singapore recognizes the important role of the Philippines in the development of the whole region content-wise. This comes at a great time especially now that for film particularly, we are celebrating the One Hundred Years,” said FDCP Chairperson and CEO Liza Diño.
In addition to the Leaders’ Summit at ATF, the FDCP will be bringing in 30 companies composed of film and content producers, buyers, distributors, animation companies, and service providers to participate in different activities and create collaborations for future projects.
SMF is Southeast Asia’s leading international media event that is hosted by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). It is a celebration of Asian storytelling that brings creative and media professionals together and showcases the region’s best talents, trends, and content, including television, film, and digital media.
The ATF Leaders’ Summit will be held on December 4, 2018 from 2:50 PM to 3:15 PM (14:50 to 15:15) in Level 4, Roselle Ballroom at Marina Bay Sands.
