- She will play the role of badjao which required her to undergo dancing and swimming lessons

GMA Network announced that Bianca Umali will have an upcoming series titled Sahaya in which she will play the role of a badjao.
Bianca is excited about her upcoming series. In an interview with GMA network, Bianca explained her role:
“Si Sahaya, isa siyang Badjao na babae pero eventually mapupunta po siya sa Maynila. Ang pino-project po kasi ni Sahaya is ‘yung love niya for her culture.”

She also revealed that she has to undergo swimming and dancing lessons to best portray her role.
“I am also taking swimming lessons for free diving. Although I have been doing scuba diving noon pero ang free diving po kasi ‘yung paglangoy po sa open ocean.
“Inaaral ko po ‘yung culture ng pagiging isang Badjao. I also have dancing lessons, ‘yung mga sayaw po na tinatawag pong ‘Pangalay.‘ ”

Bianca Umali will be joined by Miguel Tanfelix and Migo Adecer as her leading men. GMA has yet to announce its launching date.
