Looks like the public will be seeing an all-new Alden Richards come 2019. The actor announced it that he is planning to grow beard and work on his muscles.
He stated, “Parang mag-iiba na tayo ng look, kasi nakita ko po na ‘yung mga picture ko ng 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 … iisa po ‘yung mukha natin.
“So ayun po, aside from exploring different role as an actor, more on the look.”
The reason behind this is his upcoming project, which he has not revealed yet. The role requires him to look more mature.
“If it’s reasonable or it’s required for the project, or sa ikagaganda ng proyekto, gagawin ko siya. Pero dapat may purpose kung bakit siya kailangang gawin.
“And I find ‘yung challenge within the role parang gusto ko siyang gawin kasi it’s a new exploration for me as an actor.
“Kasi sa 8 years puro good boy-good boy, inaapi, iyakin.
“Ngayon doon na po ako. ‘Yun na ang gusto kong i-explore na side kasi iba rin po sa panlasa ng mga manonood, makita naman po nila ‘yung bagong Alden.”
One can take a last glimpse of the innocent side of Richards as he will take on a Santa Claus role in the six-episode, a Christmas Special of Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.
