Regal Films brings together three of the most talented and popular actors in the industry today as a Christmas treat to Pinoy moviegoers in ‘One Great Love’. Starring Kim Chui, Dennis Trillo, and JC de Vera, the film is directed by Enrico Quizon and is an official entry to the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival.
We give you 10 Reasons Why ‘One Great Love’ Is A Must-Watch this Christmas!
10. A Romance Drama for Christmas.
Filipinos will always be hopeless romantics. Therefore, romance movies will always be present in the Metro Manila Film Festival every year. And for those who are looking for the perfect romance drama to watch this Christmas, ‘One Great Love’ should definitely be on the top of your list.
9. Enrico Quizon’s Solid Direction.
A lot of people know Eric Quizon as an actor, but he is actually a good director too. Credited as Enrico Quizon, he is part of the creative minds behind hit television series like TV5’ “Enchanted Garden” (2012) and ABS-CBN’s “Pasion de Amor” (2015). This year, he is the director of Regal Films’ Christmas offering, the romance drama ‘One Great Love’.
8. A Classic Love Story.
The film follows Zyra played by Kim Chui, a woman who believes that love will complete her and will bring her joy. In the end, she will be forced to choose between two men in her life: Carl (JC de Vera) the guy she considers as her one great love, and Ian (Dennis Trillo), the man who is always by her side.
Will she choose the right man who will be her one, great love?
7. The Real-Life Lessons.
“Fear only makes us regret our best choices in life.” This is just one of the valuable life lessons that audiences can learn from watching the film. Lessons that will apply not only to those who are in a relationship, but to everyone who believes in love.
6. The Quotable Lines.
The film is packed with unforgettable lines that will surely leave a lasting mark with audiences. One of my favorites would be Jemi’s (played by Miles Ocampo) – “Selfish men belong to pathetic bitches. At hindi ka isang pathetic bitch na kung kailan kailangan, tsaka lang bibigyan ng atensyon.” Then, there’s also Zyra and Ian’s motto, “Move on, tanga!”
5. The Powerhouse Cast.
The film features an all-star cast including Eric Quizon, Miles Ocampo, Marlo Mortel and Nina Dolino. We’ve last seen Eric Quizon in ‘My Dear Heart’ (2017) and ‘Victor Magtanggol’ (2018). Miles is part of the sitcom ‘Home Sweetie Home’. Marlo previously starred in the barkada film ‘Petmalu’.
4. Miles Ocampo.
She previously starred in her own horror movie, ‘The Debutantes’ (2017) and was part of a fantasy romance film under Regal Films in ‘My Fairy Tale Love Story’. This Christmas, Miles Ocampo is part of the romantic drama ‘One Great Love’ where she plays Jemi, sister of Zyra and is mature for her age. A practical thinker, she challenges Zyra’s view about love. She also has some of the best lines in the film, as stated earlier. She’s one of those characters in the film that you’ll surely love.
3. JC de Vera.
JC de Vera stars in ‘One Great Love’ as Carl Mauricio, Zyra’s one great love. However, because of Carl’s turbulent past, he unintentionally keeps hurting the woman he loves.
The film marks his return to the Metro Manila Film Festival after ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll XV’ (2014) and ‘Kabisera’ (2016).
2. Dennis Trillo.
Dennis Trillo plays Ian Arcano, Zyra’s dependable friend, who eventually falls in love with her.
Dennis’ last film was the Viva Films comedy ‘Bakit Lahat ng Gwapo may Boyfriend?’ opposite Anne Curtis back in 2016. Hailed as GMA’s Drama King, he previously starred in the series ‘The One That Got Away’ earlier this year and is currently starring in ‘Cain at Abel’.
1. Kim Chui.
Kim Chui stars in ‘One Great Love’ as Zyra Paez, a woman who gets entangled in a love triangle between the man she believes is her destiny, and with another who loves her unconditionally.
Kim Chui previously starred in the horror film ‘The Ghost Bride’ (2017) and the horror comedy ‘Da One That Ghost Away’ (2018). This film marks her return to the Metro Manila Film Festival after 2015’s ‘All You Need Is Pag-ibig’.
‘One Great Love’ opens in cinemas on December 25, 2018, Christmas Day.
