The unkabogable box-office star Vice Ganda is back for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival with another movie that will bring laughs to everyone this holiday season. The film, entitled ‘Fantastica’ is a fantasy comedy film under the direction of Barry Gonzales, and produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films. It will be shown in cinemas on December 25, 2018.

10. A Fantasy Film Perfect For The Holiday!

Fantasy films are definitely perfect for this Christmas season. Kids loved it, therefore it’s the excellent choice for families who wants to have a bonding time at the cinema. And ‘Fantastica’ mixes fantasy with comedy, an ideal combo if you want to have a good laugh this holiday season.

The film also marks Vice Ganda’s third fantasy film following ‘Petrang Kabayo’ (2010) and ‘Gandarrapiddo: The Revengers Squad’ (2017).

9. The Film’s Supporting Cast.

The film features Ryan Bang and Jaclyn Jose in supporting roles, together with some of our favorite comedians: Chokoleit, MC Calaquian, Lassy Marquez and Juliana Parizcovia Segovia. It also marks the first movie roles of It’s Showtime favorites Jackie Gonzaga, Greg Hawkins and Ion Perez. And there’s even a surprise cameo from Marian Rivera!

8. Bela Padilla.

Yes, as the trailers suggest, it looks like Bela Padilla will be playing the main antagonist in the as an evil Queen. This will be the first time that we’ll be seeing Bela Padilla in a  fantasy adventure film like ‘Fantastica’.

7. Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte.

After starring in the Wansapanataym special: “Gelli in the Bottle”, the love team of Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte also known as LoiNie, will now be starring in their first film together, ‘Fantastica’. Loisa plays one of the lost princesses of Fantastica, named Rapunselya while Ronnie will be playing Daks.

6. Kisses Delavin and Donny Pangilinan.

Kisses Delavin and Donny Pangilinan first worked together in Regal Film’s teen comedy movie ‘Walwal’, followed by their supporting roles in the ABS-CBN dramedy series ‘Playhouse’. This Christmas, the DonKiss love team are paired once again Kisses plays one of the lost princesses of Fantastica, named Ariella. Donny will be playing a character named Pepe.

5. Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber.

After starring in the 2017 romantic comedy film ‘Loving In Tandem’ and the 2018 horror comedy ‘DOTGA: Da One That Ghost Away’, the phenomenal love team of Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber, also known as MayWard, returns to the big screen as they star in ‘Fantastica’. Maymay will be playing one of the lost princesses of Fantastica, named Maulan while Edward will be playing a character named Junjun.

4. Dingdong Dantes.

After starring in the blockbuster romantic film ‘Sid & Aya (Not A Love Story)’ opposite Anne Curtis, Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes will be paired with another Kapamilya celebrity. This time, he will be playing one of the leading men of Vice Ganda in the fantasy comedy film ‘Fantastica’. In the film, he will be playing Dong Nam, a man who wants to buy the land where the carnival owned by Belat, Vice Ganda’s character, Perya Wurtzbach stands.

3. Richard Gutierrez.

Richard Gutierrez returns to the big screen in the fantasy comedy film ‘Fantastica’. The film marks his first movie after the GMA Films thriller ‘Overtime’ back in 2014. It is also his first movie as a Kapamilya after he transferred networks, and his second film under Star Cinema, following the romance flick ‘For The First Time’ (2008). He will be playing the Prince from kingdom of Fantastica who asks for help from Belat in finding the lost princesses of their kingdom.

2. Vice Ganda

The unkabogable Vice Ganda is back to the big screen with the fantasy comedy film ‘Fantastica’. The film will the sixth MMFF entry of Vice after ‘Sisterakas’ (2012), ‘Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy’ (2013), ‘The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin’ (2014), ‘Beauty and the Bestie’ (2015), and ‘Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad’ (2017).

In the film, Vice will be playing Belat, the owner of Perya Wurtzbach, who will be helping the Prince find the lost princesses of Fantastica in exchange of helping them revive their carnival.

1. Vice Ganda’s Movies Are Already Part of Pinoy’s Christmas Tradition

We’re already expecting that Vice Ganda’s new film will be part of everyone’s list of movies to watch in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival. Every year, audiences look forward to seeing Vice Ganda’s comedy films and it has since became part of pinoy’s christmas tradition. It seems like Pinoy Christmas won’t be complete without the laughter brought by the unkabogable Vice Ganda.
