Vice Ganda was bashed after being seen in Ozamiz City airport with Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos. Netizens quickly accused the comedian-TV host of endorsing the said politician. Vice then clarified that it was a big understanding for it was only a coincidence that both of them were on the same flight.
The Ilocos Norte Governor was also asked about the incident and agreed that what the comedian-TV host said was right.
“Tama si Vice. Totally, tama si Vice, 100%. Dahil kami ay parehong inimbita ng Ozamiz at that point and nagkasabay kami.”
“Iisa lang naman ‘yung airplane at wala namang political anything or endorsed anyone. Wala talaga. But I’m a fan! Ha! Ha! Ha!”
She also shared that she wanted to be a guest on Vice Ganda’s show, ‘Gandang Gabi Vice,’ if she will be invited.
“I’d love to. It looks so much fun, parati akong nanonood, eh. Mukhang masayang-masaya. Baklaan lang to the max, so funny!”
The Ilocos Norte Governor also shared her take on the big issue of Moira Dela Torre’s performance at the recently held Marcos Fest free concert where lots of anti-Marcos bashed the singer. After being bashed, Moira explained through social media that she had no idea that the event will be a Marcos event.
But the Ilocos Tourism Office contradicted Moira’s explanation about the incident and said that the singer and her management knew all the details of the event and that they didn’t force her to perform.
“Nagulat naman ako. Kasi, nandu’n naman lahat at may kontrata naman ‘yon, maliwanag naman lahat ‘yon.
“At saka ang dami-dami nang artists na pumunta du’n, wala namang ganu’n. Wala, eversince. Minsan, bina-bash sila, hindi naman maiiwasan. Talaga namang may haters, there’s no issue with that.
“‘Di ba, nagkaganu’n din sina Parokya (ni Edgar), Eraserheads, whoever the band is, nagkakaisyu talaga. Pero wala lang, ‘di ba? Kasi, you just take it as it rolls.
“Pero ito… so funny nga, eh. At saka wala naman ‘yung ganu’n na allegations of deception and fraud. Medyo nakakatawa naman ‘yon.”
After the incident, the governor was asked if they still consider inviting Moira to perform in Ilocos?
“I don’t know, hindi na ako nakikialam diyan. Actually, we tried to run an online poll kung sino ‘yung gusto ng mga bata. Eh ‘di siyempre, si Moira, gusto namin.
“Kung sino ‘yung available at afford namin, ‘yun ang papasok. Hindi naman ako nakikialam sa mga choice-choice na ganyan. Bahala na sila, kung sinong request ng mga bagets!”
