- He noted that this may be a challenge for the network.
A netizen named Dave Guino called out GMA Network to step up their game. He named shows which became iconic Kapuso series such as: Mulawin, Encantadia and Darna.
His thread earned a retweet from Kapuso writer Suzette Doctolero and a like from artist David Licauco.
“Step up your game, GMA.”
Dave noted that Charo Santos at that time almost gave up on ABS-CBN due to Kapuso shows earning the highest ratings.
“Step up your game, GMA. I miss the days of Mulawin, Encantadia & Darna. Those were the days you almost caused Charo Santos to give up on ABS because you were giving us quality programs worth watching.”
Guino thinks that this may be a challenge for GMA Network.
“Lumaki akong exposed sa both networks. FeeI ko challenge ‘to sa GMA to keep up. Also, di na lang ito usapin sa ratings or anong network ba mas maganda, this is about providing better content that we deserve. Not to mention na public property din ang airwaves na ginagamit nila.”
Regine leaves.
There are many people saying that when Regine Velasquez-Alcasid left GMA Network and transferred to ABS-CBN, there were no Kapusos left. Dave addressed this in another tweet.
“After lumipat ni Regine, hindi totoong wala nang natirang artista sa GMA. Maraming natirang may potensyal na sana mas mapakinang. Also, di lang mga artista ang tao sa network. Nandiyan din ang mga nasa likod ng camera, media workers, from researchers to PA na sana alagaan din.”
Suzette retweets.
Doctolero retweeted the said tweet. She is known for making Kapuso series such as: Amaya, Indio, My Husband’s Lover and both versions of Encantadia.
David likes?
In another tweet, Guino revealed that Licauco liked the said tweet.
“A GMA artist liked this tweet. Spread the word bro, @davidlicauco. For a better Philippine TV industry 😘”
The like, however, disappeared once the tweet blew up.
