GMA Network may or may not produce a Philippine version of one of the most famous Japanese anime television series, Voltes V.
On Pilipino Star Ngayon‘s Scene/Seen: “May plano ang GMA 7 na i-produce ang Philippine version ng Voltes V, ang sikat na Japanese anime television series noong 1977. Ang balita na isa si Ruru Madrid sa mga napipisil na magbida sa local version ng Voltes V at si Mark Reyes ang posibleng direktor ng proyekto.”

The anime series is formally known as Chouednji (Super Electromagnetic) Machine Voltes Five. This first aired on TV Asahi in 1977 and was created by Saburo Yatsude, directed by Tadao Nagahama and produced by Yoshiyuki Tomino.

According to reports, Ruru Madrid will star as the lead role, Ken’ichi Go (Steve Armstrong), the Voltes V team leader. The reports also suggest Mark Reyes is set to direct the said project.
