- Regine Velasquez is having separation anxiety attacks.
- She is currently both excited and sad.
- The singer badly misses her friends in GMA and is still adjusting to her new environment.
Regine Velasquez, despite the grand welcome ABS-CBN cooked up for her, admits that she is still on the adjustment period.
The Asia’s Songbird was a Kapuso for a very long time. So, it’s clearly understandable that she would feel somewhat off in her first few months as a Kapamilya.
She explained, “Siyempre, I still feel kinda… I don’t know, I can’t really explain how I feel.
“I’m very excited and I’m very happy and I’m still excited, pero weird pa ‘yung feeling ko.
“Hindi ko alam bakit, siguro I need to get used to the idea.”
The singer also shared that during the last taping days of “The Clash” – her last show in GMA – she was already having an anxiety attack.
“Alam mo ‘yung inaabutan ako ng asawa ko na nakatulala ako.
“Na-ganu’n ako, kasi hindi ko alam kung how I should feel and whenever I go to work, kung sino ‘yung makasalubong ko, iniiyakan ako.
“Parang ‘mamamatay na ba ako?’
“Ganu’n ‘yung feeling ko.”
Regine currently has mixed emotions. She was so attached with many Kapuso people that made her feel sad. Gladly, they still talk to Regine.
“Alam mo ‘yung namamahay ka pero excited ka naman?
“Excited ako sa lahat ng mga possibilities na puwede kong gawin. And at the same time, mayroong konting lungkot.
“Siyempre, ang dami ko namang mga kaibigan na naiwan na minahal ko.
“Sina direk Louie (Ignacio), tinetext ako, ‘okay ka lang ba, teh?’ ‘kumusta ka, gusto mo awayin natin?’ ‘Yung mga ganu’n ba. So, I feel very touched.
“Kasi, mahal naman nila ako, eh. At ako rin, mahal ko rin sila.
“Kaya nga ako nagkakaroon ng anxiety attack, nagkakaroon ako ng separation anxiety because you know, I was there for 20 years.
“But now, it’s a new beginning for me, that’s why I’m excited,” Regine Velasquez ended.
