- More viewers tuned in to Yen Santos and Yam Concepcion’s party face-off
- Jacky’s fighting spirit comes out
The highly anticipated face-off between Jacky (Yen Santos) and Jade (Yam Concepcion) last Thursday (November 8) drew in viewers from all over the country giving the show a new all-time high national TV rating according to data from Kantar Media.
It received a rating of 29.3%, which is triple the rating of its rival program “Pamilya Roces” (9.4%). The episode ended with Jacky dousing Jade with water to calm her down after the latter caused a scene at a party they were both at.
Netizens expressed how happy they were with the scene showing Jacky’s fighting spirit as they had long wished for Jacky to get back at Jade for stealing her husband. Its hashtag #SalpukangHalik became the number one trending topic on Twitter that night.
“I love how every week, Halik has something intense ang exciting to offer. Yung tipong hindi mo talaga palalagpasin yung episode nila para bukas at sa susunod pa na bukas. In short, para sa buong isang linggo hanggang sa mga susunod pa,” tweeted @thatfangirl_rm.
Meanwhile, @lexriel24 tweeted support for Jacky and Lino (Jericho Rosales), “ito yung pinaka the best na episode.. yung pagiging palaban ni Jacky @yenxsantos at Lino @jericho_rosales ..”
On the other hand, there are also those who questioned Ace’s (Sam Milby) decision to bring Jade to the party, like @AlexMatoza, who tweeted, “Bihisan mo man ang ahas, lagyan ng kolorete sa mukha, pasuotin ng alahas, yayayain sa mararangyang lugar. Mangangamoy at mangangamoy ang kasangsangan nito! Amanos Jade! #SalpukangHalik”
“Halik” is also the most watched program on iWant, the new streaming service of ABS-CBN. It now has more than 3.86 million weekly views.
