GMA Network star Kris Bernal revealed on her recent interview with PEP.ph that she is willing to say ‘I DO’ with her non-showbiz Chinese boyfriend only if she could clinch an acting award.
“‘Pag nanalo na ako, pwede na kami pakasal.”
She and her boyfriend, Perry Choi, have been together for two years. The actress, however, shared that she’s not ready to commit to be a wife just yet because of certain stuff she still wants to do, “Of course, he’s getting older. I’m getting older as well because I’m already 29. But then, I still have a lot of things to, you know, want to achieve.

“I want to win an award, e. For eleven years in the industry, hindi pa ako nanalo.
“IMy show Impostora, yeah, I did not win an award for that. I was expecting also because it’s a different character. Actually, dual role ako doon but I did not win any award. I was so frustrated. Ang ganda ng role ko doon, di ba? Sobrang different na Kris Bernal especially when I did the kontrabida? Talagang iba. Sayang. I guess, it was my chance na sana, e. So, I went back to this soap, like itong Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko, it’s the same character, api-apihan. So, I’m not expecting any award for this coz I’ve done this before.

Among the roles she has done, there are only two, to which she could say she had high hopes in getting awards, “Two shows ko lang na nag-expect ako ng award. Yung Little Nanay, I like my role here kasi my intellectual disability. My role is nice kasi batang-isip ako. Then, yung Impostora. Sayang nga, e.
“But since I’ve got into this parang I wanted to do more films na rin. Parang I want to explore more roles in movies. Oo, kasi sayang, e. Yun na lang talaga ang gusto kong makuha, e.”
But what if her boyfriend proposes? Would she accept it?
