Nine Cases filed by Kris Aquino against Atty. Jesus Falcis.

Aquino sued Nicko Falcis’ brother for cyberlibel.
And so the battle between the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino and her former business associate, Nicko Falcis continues. The actress-host recently revealed that she also filed a case against Nicko’s brother, Jesus Falcis, because of the “offensive and humiliating” social media posts that he made against the actress.
Nine counts of cyberlibel, to be exact, equivalent to the nine posts that Falcis posted since November 14.
“While I am a well-known celebrity, respondent does not have the unbridled license to malign my honor and dignity by indiscriminately posting malicious statements against me,” Aquino said.
In his posts, Jesus Falcis called the actress-host several things — “liar”, “pa victim”, “sinungaling”, and “spoiled oligarch brat”. He also called the actress a person who longs for a man’s attention. He even dragged the names of Aquino’s deceased parents on one of his posts as well as mocked the “urticaria-prone skin” of the actress.

“By the way Ms. Aquino, how were the Bon Chon, Jollibee and Pancake House that you ate? It’s hard to be the child of Ninoy and Cory. But your other siblings turned out okay. Why did you turn out that way?” Jesus Falcis wrote on his Instagram post.
Freedom of speech and press is not applicable for Jesus Falcis’ defense, according to the actress.
“If the utterances are false, malicious or irrelevant to matters of public interest involving public figures, the same may give rise to criminal and civil liability,” the actress said.
The Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 imposes penalties that are one degree higher than those provided for in existing laws for crimes committed with the aid of a computer or other similar means.
As for Nicko, the actress filed several cases against him in five Metro Manila cities last October because of the unauthorized use of credit card which belongs to her company, Kris C. Aquino Productions.
