Pinoy Big Brother housemate Art Guma seemed to be evading and silent these days. He was called into the confession room where he admitted his fear of being judged.
Kuya gave him an advice that could also be applied by teenage viewers.
Art’s Fear.
Guma shared that he doesn’t usually share his emotions and try to suppress it as much as he can.
“As far as I see myself… I kinda see myself as the type of guy who couldn’t really share his feelings with others and how to tell what I really feel… I’m afraid that someone might react negatively. I don’t really open up to them.”
Art expressed how he’s afraid of people judging him.
“It’s just hard to not be able to speak your mind at times and even though I know that sometimes I should let people know how I really feel. I’m afraid that I might lose them. I’m afraid of judgment.”
Big Brother’s Piece of Advice.
Kuya noted that Art is still a teenager and still might not know himself. He pointed out that Art cannot please everybody.
“Art, batid ko na mahirap mahusgahan ng ibang tao kaya minsan maingat tayo sa ating mga sarili. Bilang teenager, natural lang na hindi mo pa lubos na kilala ang iyong sarili. Pero lagi mo pa rin tatandaan, Art. You cannot please everybody.”
Kuya hoped that while in his house, Art would know more about himself. He let his doors open for Art, ready to listen without any judgment.
“Baka sa pagpasok mo, dito sa aking bahay, unti-unti mong mahanap ang iyong sarili. Magtiwala ka sa sarili mo at lagi mong tatandaan, Art, bukas lagi ang aking pintuan. Anytime, handa kitang pakinggan ng walang panghuhusga.”
