- ABS-CBN, honored at 40th Catholic Mass Media Awards

ABS-CBN won big at the 40th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA), earning top nods for its news and entertainment programs, films, and music.
Top-rated drama series “The Good Son,” which earned raves for its portrayal of issues like mental illness and infidelity, won Best Drama Program. “Seven Sundays,” a film on the various dynamics within families, won Best Film (Students’ Choice). “Mission Possible,” a public service and current affairs program hosted by Julius Babao, won Best Public Service Program.
“ASAP” and “I Can See Your Voice,” meanwhile tied for Best Entertainment Program.
The Kapamilya network’s television-radio station DZMM also nabbed various awards for its programs. “On The Spot” won Best News Program, while the DZMM TeleRadyo’s “Sa Landas ni Jesus: Maglakbay, Magnilay” won Best TV Special. “Failon Ngayon sa DZMM” was also elevated to the Hall of Fame in the Best News Commentary category.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s FM radio program MOR 101.9’s “Dear MOR” won Best Drama Program while its radio campaign “Nanay Kakilala” won Best Radio Ad-Public Service.
The network also nabbed awards for music through its record label Star Music. “Ito ang Aming Pangarap” by KZ Tandingan, Bugoy Drilon, Ebe Dancel, and Gloc 9 won Best Music Video, “Tagpuan” by Moira Dela Torre won Best Secular Song, while “Di Ka Pababayaan” by Ogie Alcasid with the Philharmonic Orchestra won Best Inspirational Song.
