- ABS-CBN officially launched its 2018 Christmas Station ID via the recently-revamped Sunday variety show as ASAP Natin ‘to on November 18.
- The theme of this year’s Christmas Station ID is ‘Family is Love’.
- The song featured inspiring stories in the Philippines that depicted true essence of family love.
The ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID 2018 officially launched together with the revamped ASAP as ASAP Natin ‘to on November 18.
Along with the last-song-syndrome vibe the jingle gave, this year’s Christmas Station ID with many firsts.
This is the first time ABS-CBN included over 400 Kapamilya personalities in their Christmas Station ID.
This is also the first time that they’ve gathered all the stars in a single venue. Unlike before, they were assigned in different areas.
There were also first-timers who joined the pack including the Tawag Ng Tanghalan champion Janine Berdin and the first Miss Q&A queen Juliana Parizcova Segovia.
Two former Kapuso stars who recently transferred to ABS-CBN are also proud to be part of this year’s station ID for the first time like Kempee De Leon and the Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.
ABS-CBN also featured for the first time the different vocal groups in the Philippines namely the University of Santo Tomas Singers, AFP Chorale, Ramon Magsaysay Highschool Chorale–Manila, and Koro Bangkal Magbikin accompanied with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra.
To fully depict the true meaning of the song Family is Love, the Christmas station ID featured the amazing and inspiring stories of the Garcia Brothers, the blood brother-soldiers who fought for the liberation of Marawi from the terrorist group; and Lorlie Noblezada, a mother of eight children who took a dozen job to raise her children.
Family is Love also made a salute the Missionary Doctor Viktorija Cirvinskaite who initially went to Talim Island to provide affordable healthcare and eventually found a new home there; the survivors of the Benguet landslide caused by Typhoon Ompong; and Margielyn Didal, the professional street skateboarder who is the first Filipina to win a gold medal in skateboarding during the Asian Games.
