- “Victor Magtanggol” is rumored to have changed directors or hired a different director to take over the action scenes.
- The new spotted action director is Vincent Soberano.
- Director Vincent has made international movies which garnered international awards. He also directed Vice Ganda’s “Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad” action scenes.
There’s been a rumor spreading online that “Victor Magtanggol” will conclude this coming November.
The network has not addressed this rumor yet. What’s certain is they’ve been having a very hard time challenging the ratings of ABS-CBN’s “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
Fans keep wondering why “Victor Magtanggol” has been struggling. Is it the story? The cast? Or “FPJ’s Ang Probsinyano” is just too good?
Or probably it’s the director.
The director of “Victor Magtanggol” is Dominic Zapata. For the past few months, at least.
A netizen posted a behind the scene photos of “Victor Magtanggol” and one thing’s amiss. Director Dominic is not the one directing. Instead, it’s Vincent Soberano.
Another netizen said that Dominic’s contract with “Victor Magtanggol” is only for 38 episodes.
Another one posted that the show probably has two directors and Vincent Soberano was the one directing the action scenes since it’s his forte.
Indeed, Vincent’s portfolio does suggest that he’s good in directing action scenes. His movies received international awards and he also appeared in one of Jackie Chan’s movies “Police Story: Lockdown.”
He was also the action director of Vice Ganda’s box office hit “Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad.”
Victor Soberano himself confirmed on Twitter that he is now part of “Victor Magtanggol.”
Turns out, “Victor Magtanggol” is in good hands and will probably survive until 2019.
