Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos doesn’t want to admit the human rights violations committed by her father and former President Ferdinand Marcos as she eyes a national position as a senator in the 2019 elections.
According to Imee, her family will apologize but will not admit her father’s guilt. Karen Davila left a comment about this on Twitter.
Imee has no guilt.
Imee called these as mere “political accusations.” Amid victims calling for justice, Imee thinks the country is prepared to listen to her family’s side of the story.
“As we all know, these are political accusations that have not been proven in court… Sa palagay ko ang ating bansa ay handang handa na na makarinig ng iba pang kaisipan at marinig rin ang aming side of the story, ika nga.”
