- Regine Velasquez is now officially a Kapamilya.
- She has an upcoming sitcom, segment in “ASAP” and one of the judges of the upcoming singing competition “Idol Philippines.”
- Regine dreams of working with Coco Martin and make a guest appearance in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
Regine Velasquez finally signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN and is very excited to work with Kapamilya stars.
For starters, Regine will immediately join the ABS-CBN Sunday musical variety show “ASAP,” and star in a musical sitcom with Ogie Alcasid and Ian Veneracion.
The rumor that she will become a judge and coach in “The Voice of the Philippines” is not true. However, she will become a judge of an upcoming singing competition titled “Idol Philippines.”
Regine wants to guest on “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”
She is also looking forward to making a guest appearance in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” and revealed that she was starstruck with Coco Martin.
He’s such a gentleman and parang mahiyain siya. Katuwa!” she said.
She talked about a time when several Kapuso shows tried to compete against “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
Regine’s GMA shows that were pitted against Coco Martin’s series were “Poor Senorita” in 2016 and “Mulawin vs. Ravena” in 2017.
Regine is well aware of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s” popularity not just in the Philippines but also abroad.
“Oo naman. Kasi ‘te, sino bang walang may alam ng Probinsyano? Kahit saan, Probinsyano talaga, e!
She prefers comedy over action and drama
Unfortunately for Regine, even though she really likes to work with Coco Martin, having a TV-series is not yet part of her project line-up.
Regine admitted that she’s not yet ready to take on heavy drama, or family-drama projects because she’s still into comedy-drama.
“Hindi ko kaya. I mean I can do it pero nasanay na ako doon sa medyo light, kasi nga minsan, naiuuwi ko yung character, e.
“So gusto ko yung at the end of the day, comedy pa rin, happy pa rin. At saka doon ako comfortable talaga.
Regine Velasquez continued to express her excitement in working in ABS-CBN.
“So, can I just mention again that I’m excited?
ABS-CBN management has yet to reveal the title and details of the upcoming sitcom.
