- Regine Velasquez has finally bid goodbye to GMA Network after 2 decades.
- “Sarap Diva” was Regine’s lifestyle show for 6 years.
- Regine will be seen next in “ASAP Live in Sydney Australia.”
Regine Velasquez-Alcasid became emotional on Saturday (October 12) morning when she delivered her farewell message for her last day as host of “Sarap Diva” on GMA Network.
After 6 years of making Filipinos laugh and learn about cooking and household chores, “Sarap Diva” aired its last episode with its original host, Regine.
Regine became emotional as she bid goodbye to the show, the staff and the viewers she was with for 6 years. “Nagpapasalamat din ako sa lahat ng boss ko, syempre kay Ms. Darling. Thank you Ms. Darling for all the opportunities you have given me. Then sila Ma’am Lilybeth, sila Redgie, all my bosses syempre si Mr. Gozon, at saka si Mr. Duavit.
“I have stayed here for two decades. Maraming, maraming salamat po sa tiwalang ibinigay ninyo sa akin and taking good care of me and thank you for being lenient with me at times.”
“‘Yung time na kinailangan kong magpahinga kasi nabuntis ako, ‘di ako nagdalawang-isip, talagang hinayaan akong magpahinga. Most of all, ‘yung naging second Mom ko, si Ms. Wilma. Thank you Ms. Wilma.”
According to reports, Regine will be replaced by Carmina Villarroel starting October 20 with a new show title “Sarap ‘Di Ba?”
In a report from GMA News, Senior Vice President for GMA Entertainment Content Group Lilybeth Rasonable confirmed the rumors in an official statement.
“After two decades, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has officially said her goodbyes to the Kapuso Network. We understand her decision to join her husband and we wish her well as she pursues other opportunities outside GMA Network,” Rasonable said.
