After months of rumors about her transfer, the Asias’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid finally made it official to be part of ABS-CBN growing family. Today, October 17, she signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN. COO for broadcast Cory Vidanes welcomed Velasquez-Alcasid to the ABS-CBN compound.

The network gave her a grandiose welcome as she walked on the red carpet and a live coverage on TV broadcast as well as online streaming. Such welcome is a rare one, the last one was with Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach‘s homecoming after winning the Miss Universe crown and title in 2015.
All ABS-CBN executives were present at the contract signing.
Hundreds of Kapamilya employees also joined in to witness and personally greet Regine’s official arrival to the Kapamilya Network.
In a tweet from MJ Felipe, Regine declares:
“I am now a certified Kapamilya, woooh!”
An emotional farewell.
After two decades as a Kapuso, she bade an emotional goodbye during the sixth anniversary episode of Sarap Diva. There, she thanked the people she continuously worked with during her reign in the rival network.
