- “Ang Edukasyon” party-list representative Salvador Belaro challenged PCOO Assistant Martin Andanar to resign.
- Belaro said that his resignation will allow PCOO to start on a clean slate next year.
- Andanar made it clear that he will not heed the lawmaker’s call to resign.
Following Mocha Uson’s resignation from being the PCOO Assistant Secretary, a lawmaker challenged the PCOO Secretary himself Martin Andanar to follow what his colleague did.
“Ang Edukasyon” party-list representative Salvador Belaro said that PCOO Secretary Andanar should also resign in order for his department to start on a clean slate in 2019.
Belaro said, “Secretary Martin Andanar should also resign to take moral and command responsibility for the numerous failings of the PCOO and agencies under his jurisdiction.”
The party-list representative also labeled Mocha Uson as “one of the symptoms” of what’s wrong in PCOO.
Andanar knows that the opposition is just taunting him. He proved that he can’t be talked into anything that easy.
He made a statement during an interview on “Unang Balita.”
“Well, alam mo naman ito ay demokrasya, ‘yung mga congressman natin, mga senador o kahit private individual ay puwedeng manawagan na magbitiw ang isang tao.
“Meron nga pinagbibitiw si Pangulo, eh ako pa, di ba?”
Martin Andanar will remain as Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary.
