Marlo Mortel rose to fame when he starred in 2012’s Be Careful with My Heart. He, however, has been in showbiz three years before that. Marlo recently held a blog conference for his first major concert as a solo artist, imMORTELized. This will happen on October 26, Friday at the Music Museum.
Marlo never gives up.
During the said conference, Marlo shared the lessons he learned in almost a decade in the industry.
Kasi madami na akong beses na-turn down, eh.”
Although he didn’t succeed in StarStruck V, German Moreno added him to his roster of rising artists in Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman in 2009.
Kaya ako kinuha ni Kuya Germs after that, after ko mag-StarStruck.”
Marlo sacrifices.
Marlo left GMA Network in 2012 where he became a contestant for X Factor Philippines. He, however, didn’t succeed.
“Then, umalis ako ng GMA to try my luck sa X Factor.
Marlo didn’t stop reaching for his dreams and exhibiting his talents. After ‘X Factor,’ he started to receive projects.

Marlo prioritizes his music.
Marlo shared that he still goes back to his first love: music.
“Pero ayun nga, ‘yung pinaka-important for me kasi mas binibigyan pa ring priority ‘yung music which is the first reason, my first love, kung bakit ako nag-enter ng showbiz.”
