- Marlo Mortel will debut as a concert artist in his first major concert, ImMORTELized.
- He plans to immortalize his mother’s memories in the concert.
- ImMORTELized will be directed by Marvin Caldito, musical direction by Adonis Tabanda.
Marlo Mortel has been through a lot for the past couple of years. He, however, doesn’t plan on letting his pain destroy him. Instead, he channels his pain to fuel his dreams.
ImMORTELized.
Marlo will go on stage for his first major solo concert, ImMORTELized on October 26, Friday at the Music Museum. He already performed there with Bryan Santos, Joseph Marco, Michael Pangilinan and other members of the boyband, Harana. As part of the group, Marlo had hit singles and a sold-out concert.
As a solo artist, Marlo hopes to have his ImMORTELized concert draw as big a crowd as Harana did. He is also eager to show people the full range of his talents but he also wants to make his family proud.
Marlo and Merlie.
The Mortel family has been through a lot. His mother, Merlie Pamintuan, succumbed to breast cancer on August 24, Friday. Since Marlo and Merlie are very close, her death hit him very hard. Marlo, on the other hand, used his grief to go greater heights. Merlie may have passed on but she is surely very proud of him as he debuts in the OPM concert scene as the newest solo star.
Work, work, work.
Marlo has been working very hard to support his family. He hosts a segment on Umagang Kay Ganda. He has also worked on movies and recording material for his debut solo album. ImMORTELized will be directed by Marvin Caldito, musical direction by Adonis Tabanda. Slated as guests are Elisse Joson, John Roa, LA Santos and Sue Ramirez. Sponsored by the Calayan Surgicentre and Megasoft.
