Jasmine Curtis-Smith explains why she chose GMA Network over ABS-CBN where Anne Curtis is

  • Jasmine Curtis-Smith admits that GMA was her first choice.
  • She believes that her acting skills will be honed at the Kapuso network.
  • The young actress also revealed something Anne Curtis possesses that she can never have.

Jasmine Curtis-Smith has an upcoming series on GMA titled “Pamilya Roces.” During an interview with Philstar on set, she revealed the reason why she prefers to be a Kapuso.

Jasmine’s sister, Anne Curtis, is in the Kapamilya network and currently a host in the long-running noontime show “It’s Showtime.”

Despite Anne’s remarkable career which should entice Jasmine to be a Kapamilya as well, Jasmine still decided to go to GMA and her reason is for her to have a quiet life.

She explained, “Inisip ko na rin ‘yon. I wanna go where she is para magkasama na kami. Pero sadyang we’re so different and she wants me to go to ABS, I want to go to GMA.

“Siyempre, ako ang masusunod dahil career ko ito eh.”

Fans also said that she has better acting skills than her older sister Anne. She reacted, “I’m flattered to hear that. But kasi I know I can say that’s one of my strengths.

“But I can say, the one thing I can’t have that my sister has is that mas may charm siya kaya siya ang Asia’s Sweetheart or Philippine Sweetheart.

“Kasi mas kaya niyang maabot ang masa. Ang personality niya, mas nakakaengganyo sa mga tao.

“That’s something na hindi mo mapag-aaralan eh, innate na ‘yan sa show. Siya ‘yon eh!”

Catch Jasmine Curtis-Smith in “Pamilya Roces” airing soon on October 10 on GMA Telebabad replacing “Inday Will Always Love You.”
