While the world is focused on Regine Velasquez turning into a Kapamilya, Janno Gibbs also made a move for the growth of his career.
The singer recently signed a contract with Viva Artists Agency.
The last movie Janno made under Viva was the film titled “Wait A Minute, Kapeng Mainit” with Blakdyak.
When he first transferred to ABS-CBN, he appeared in Coco Martin’s series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” for quite a while.
Now that his former “SOP” co-singer transferred to ABS-CBN, the singer-actor can’t be more excited.
Janno said, “I’m excited for her, happy for her, kasi aside from SOP before Ogie (Alcasid) ako ang ka-duet talaga ni Regine.
“Before magkasama kami sa management, kay Ronnie Henares, pareho kaming nag-start don.
“We did a movie here sa Viva. So, malaking part din siya ng career ko. And I’m happy for her, alam kong matagal na siyang hinihintay ng (Channel) 2.
“And perfect yung timing kasi Ogie is there na, so kumbaga, mapapatawad mo na kung anuman ang reason for transferring.
“Eh, nando’n yung asawa niya, eh, so no questions asked na di ba?
“Deserve naman nya yon. I think she deserves it. She’s one of the, if not, our biggest female singer.”
Janno Gibbs is also hoping that he will reunite with the Asia’s Songbird on “ASAP.”
“I hope so. Parang sinasabi nga nila, gusto nilang mag-back-to-back, SOP sa ASAP. Hahaha! Kasi di lang kami. Pati sina Jay-R, Kyla, Jona. Well, sana.”
Regine Velasquez also expressed that she’s a big fan of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” and also dreams of appearing on the show.
If Coco Martin nods, she will be following Janno’s footsteps in ABS-CBN.
