Ethel Booba is a comedienne and considered as one of the influential names on social media. She is never afraid to speak her mind regarding political matters.
She recently talked about politics and the upcoming elections on Twitter.
Politics.
A netizen was waiting for Ethel to file her certificate of candidacy. Ethel, then, pointed out that politics have begun to look like a laughingstock.
“Masyado nang comedy ang politika natin wag na natin dagdagan ng isa pang katatawanan. Charot!”
Ethel also answered the reason why she will not run for the elections next year.
“Politics is not for me. Ibigay natin yan sa tunay na may alam. Madami dyan karapat-dapat kaya dapat maging mabusisi ngayon sa pagpili ng iboboto. Hindi popularity contest ang politika. Charot!”
Applauding Senators.
A netizen noted that a lot of people forget their platforms once they get elected.
“I remember Senator Nancy Binay. We thought that she doesn’t deserve the Senate because her experience in politics was her 20 years OJT. Looking her now, she’s doing great in her position. Charot!”
When a netizen asked what Senator Nancy did, Ethel answered it with:
“Three of her bills became law. Co-sponsor din ng Expanded Maternity Leave Law. Google mo na lang yung iba. Charot!”
Ethel’s vote.
A netizen told Ethel to peg her vote at 1 million pesos so that candidates couldn’t afford it.
“My boto is not for sale pero pwede nila ako kunin magshow sa campaign rally nila. Di aabot ng 1M ang TF ko. Charot!”
Family business?
Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla pointed out that the people who would want to go against her and her family would not succeed.
“Hindi kayo magsa-succeed, hindi kailanman matutupad ang mga pangarap niyo. Hindi kayo magwawagi, kaming lahat sa aming pamilya ay nagkakaisa.”
Ethel shared this on Twitter and noted how the Revillas had made politics their own family business.
“Effective na family business tong politika huh. Charot!”
