Director Bobet Vidanes recently received praise personally from the “It’s Showtime” celebrity hosts during his birthday, showing their appreciation and love to the director.
Director Vidanes, aka Direk Bobet, started off from scratch having only a few hosts. Now, their number has doubled including the “Hashtags” and “Girl Trends.”
The noontime variety show is also celebrating nine years and not just ranking great on TV, but on social media as well.
The moment became very emotional for all of them, especially for Ryan Bang who mostly spent his showbiz career on “It’s Showtime.”
After a good laugh, Director Bobet Nivades continued, “Ang tao talagang nagbigay sa’kin kay Ryan Bang.
The director admitted that he had no idea who was Ryan Bang back then.
“Hindi ko kilala si Ryan Bang. Sino ba si Ryan Bang?
“Alam mo noong makuha ko si Ryan, siyempre medyo ‘nakakatawa ba ‘to? Pero magaling, magaling ‘tong bata.
“Ryan, you should thank Cory Vidanes.
Ryan Bang was surprised upon hearing the news. He had no idea that the Chief Operating Officer of ABS-CBN herself was the person behind his career.
Ryan, of course, took the opportunity to say his heartfelt gratitude.
“Tita Cory, kayo pala Tita Cory! Thank you!”
