CELEBS REACT: Mocha Uson resigns as PCOO Assistant Secretary

  • Mocha Uson resigns as Asec of PCOO.
  • She is open to running in the 2019 midterm elections.
  • Celebrities and advocates react to her resignation and plans to run for either Congress or the Senate.

It is on everyone’s social media timeline: Mocha Uson finally resigns as Assistant Secretary for Social Media of the Presidential Communications Group. A lot of people celebrated the good news but were quick to notice the bad news that she may run for either Congress or Senate in the coming elections.

Celebs react.

APO Hiking Society member Jim Paredes didn’t need words to comment on Mocha’s resignation. He attached a photo of how citizens could vote for Mocha in 2019.

Kapamilya broadcast journalist Karen Davila quoted a news report then attached a prefix to Mocha’s name and a lyric on her tweet.

“Senator Mocha Uson? 🇵🇭 It aint over til its over…. 🎶”

Comedienne Ethel Booba just noted how the filing of candidacy is going to happen soon.

“Malapit na ang filing of candidacy kasi. Charot!”

Ethel also tweeted a witty note on resignation, generally.

“Pag magreresign kayo antayin nyo muna makuha ang 13th month pay. 3 to 6 months pa naman ang back pay. Charot!”

Host and TV personality Bianca Gonzalez concurred with Ethel.

“Ethel serving real talk! 💯”

Blogger and columnist Tonyo Cruz had a thread about Mocha’s resignation. He also revealed Mocha’s chances of winning as a senator.

“Despite her high profile and “popularity,” despite authoring an avalanche of fake news, despite graft-ridden and controversial reign as PCOO ASec, Uson is at Rank 45-63 in the last survey. She’s not even included in PDP, HNP slates.”

Actress Agot Isidro quoted a news report where Mocha said, “I will make the sacrifice. I’ve made the decision to resign.” Agot commented in annoyance.

“Dearie, we made the ultimate sacrifice while you were in office.

Anoba.”

Actress Aiko Melendez called Mocha’s plans for revenge a “stupid statement.” Although she doesn’t hate Mocha, she just didn’t like what the sexy dancer-turned-public official is doing.

“So nag announce naman pala nga si asec Mocha na tatakbo kaya nagresign. Eh di tama pala my prior post na napaisip ako sa move nya, Like ive said Mocha would have gained my respect if she resigned for the right reasons. But running for a public post and seeking revenge by being elected is a stupid statement.

You run because You want to help the less fortunate ones. You run because you want to be a servant to the public! And you don’t run for revenge. Don’t use the people for any of your agenda. Again I don’t hate Mocha i just don’t like what she is doing.

One class act would be is to resign, be humble and admit all the humiliation You caused our Government. Apologize to the PWD for mocking them. Then if that happens maybe i can reconsider and have you in my list for senator.”

TV personality Ogie Diaz pointed out two reasons why Mocha resigned: (1) to run as Senator or (2) transfer to another position. He also mentioned some moves that Mocha should have done instead of pushing for a higher budget for PCOO.

“Dalawa lang yan. It’s either tatakbo as senator or under partylist o kaya ililipat lang ng ibang pwesto.

For now, thank you, Mocha.
