- Carmina Villarroel and the Legaspi twins will take over Regine Velasquez’s show “Sarap Diva.”
- The show is now reformatted with a new title “Sarap ‘Di Ba?”
- Carmina stated that Regine fully supports them taking over the show.
Carmina Villarroel stated that it can’t be avoided having mixed reactions regarding the issue of Regine Velasquez transferring to the Kapamilya network.
Carmina and her children Mavy and Cassy Legaspi will soon host the upcoming GMA show “Sarap ‘Di Ba?” which is the revised version of Regine’s “Sarap Diva.”
Fans started asking if Carmina can maintain the reputation of the show. According to the actress, there’s no point in comparing the two of them.
She stated, “Let’s not compare because she’s the Songbird. And I’m just a frustrated singer. Magkaiba kaming dalawa.”
Carmina also stressed that Regine was happy that the show was passed on to her.
“I heard na when she found out na ako yung susunod sa kanyang yapak bilang Songbird, ang alam ko, she was happy.
“Parang she wanted pa to endorse me. Nung nalaman ko yun, awww… Very thankful naman ako.
“Kasi hindi naman kailangan, pero nag-offer siya. Hindi na nga lang nangyari kasi di na nga nangyari.”
Even though the two hosts didn’t have the time to talk personally, Carmina felt Regine’s support when Asia’s Songbird retweeted the post announcing their “Sarap ‘Di Ba” takeover.
Carmina Villarroel also took the interview as an opportunity to express her gratitude to the former host.
“You know, my heart is just so full. It’s just all so positive, all happy thoughts sa gesture ni Ms. Regine.
“Thank you dahil nire-retweet niya. Makikita mo rin naman talaga yung pagmamahal niya sa show. So I’m very thankful.”
