- Billy Crawford will be leaving “It’s Showtime” to focus on his wife and his music.
- Coleen Garcia shared that she supports Billy’s decision all the way.
- Billy will soon release an album and his first single is titled “Filipina Girl.”
Billy Crawford said he’s about to leave “It’s Showtime” soon in an interview with “Magandang Buhay.”
The host explained that he wants to spend time with his wife Coleen Garcia and that’s why he had to let go of the show.
He explained, “Well right before the wedding kasi medyo naging busy talaga.
“’Yun nga one of the reasons na nag-leave muna ako sa ‘Showtime,’ which sa awa ng Diyos and thank you sa management dito na pinayagan naman ako to be on leave.
“Para I can concentrate with Coleen, my marriage, the wedding planning, after the wedding nagpagawa naman ng bahay.
“So instead naman na magpaasa pa ako na ‘oo, babalik ako, babalik ako,’ I just took time off na lang.”
Apparently, a rumor also spread that Billy may attempt to revive his erstwhile international career. Crawford was known as an international RnB star before he went to ABS-CBN.
He had a hit single in 2005 titled “Bright Lights.”
Coleen Garcia also shared her opinion about her husband’s decision. She said, “May mga tao kasi na kaya. Passion talaga nila to grind every day.
“Pero ito kasi si Billy, at this point in his life at 36 years old, he wants to slow down and he wants to focus on family. Buong buhay niya he didn’t get to focus on family.
“Ako hiwalay ang parents ko. So pareho kami na ‘yung gusto sa buhay, ‘yun talaga ang priority namin is to have a good family life. ‘Yun ang pangarap namin.”
Billy Crawford also announced that he is currently working on a new album and his single “Filipina Girl” is part of it.
“Ang first single ko po it’s dedicated to all Filipina girls. It’s called ‘Filipina Girl.’ Maganda siya dahil kasama ko ang isang napaka-talented na producer kong si Marcus Davis at kasama ko rin diyan si James Reid.
“So, tatlo kami rito. It will be part of my album ‘Work in Progress,'” he ended.
