It may be a big challenge for Thea Tolentino to portray a transgender in the newest afternoon prime drama series, Asawa Ko Karibal Ko. Aside from being a transgender, Thea will also be the antagonist.
Her character will try her best to get in between Kris Bernal and Rayver Cruz‘s romance.
Any hesitation?
According to Thea, she didn’t hesitate on accepting the role.
Adjustments.
Thea admitted that she had to change and adjust her voice. Jason Abalos‘ character gets a facial feminization surgery which later becomes Thea’s.
“As a transgender, hindi naman mababago ang boses, kaya kailangang pag-aralan ko ang boses ni Jason Abalos, na siyang magpapa-facial feminization surgery para maging isa siyang babae…
Thea shared that Ken Chan helps her to portray a transgender woman which he already did in Destiny Rose.
After a long time?
Haplos was Thea’s last project which ended in February this year. Although she didn’t have a regular project after Haplos, she would have guest and regional shows in GMA Network.
Asawa Ko Karibal Ko is a different take on infidelity which will air on October 22, Monday after Eat Bulaga.
