In an interview, Alden recalled that he’s been eating at the restaurant and loving their dishes way before he decided to venture into becoming a partner.
Speaking of being a business partner, Alden said he relies on his partner, Ms. Gemma Sembrano, most of the time as he doesn’t have enough background on running a business. He added that he trusts her when it comes to finances. Talking about money, Alden said “It’s the best risk I’ve ever taken,” and added that it was the best option to invest his money on during that time.
Meanwhile, Gemma says that Alden is a great business partner since he listens all the time.

As a real fan of the food in Concha’s, Alden shared that his favorite dishes are Caldereta, Laoya, Okoy, and Bangus Sardines. This is proven true by Gemma, who has Alden’s favorites already memorized since he’s been going to the restaurant since 2014 (Silang, Cavite branch).
According to Gemma, these dishes, as well as everything else in their menu, are all homemade and based on the original recipes of Caridad Concha, Gemma’s grandmother and is the inspiration behind the name of the restaurant.
Gemma said Concha’s Garden doesn’t use artificial seasonings for their dishes.
