Rechristened as the ABS-CBN Ball, the network’s star-studded affair is one of the most anticipated events in showbiz.
Last Saturday night’s gathering started off with the red carpet. But as much as we loved the parade of celebrities who attended the ball clad in fabulous gowns and well-cut tux, there are stars that we wished had graced the spectacular event.
Some of last year’s attendees already transferred networks, changed management or faded from the limelight, but there are really some artists whose absence was felt in this year’s ABS-CBN Ball.
Here is a list of celebrities who previously attended the previous Kapamilya Balls but didn’t make it this year.

Few days before the ABS-CBN Ball, she was sick and she needed to go to Singapore for medical assessment.

Janella Salvador appeared at the red carpet this year without Elmo. There’s really something wrong going on between them.

Despite being under contract with GMA Network, Heart still managed to appear in last year’s Star Magic Ball.

Last year, Lea told a fan that she doesn’t “foresee herself getting invited because she’s not a Star Magic talent.” But this is already an ABS-CBN Ball and many of her fans were waiting to see her on the red carpet but alas. there was no Lea.

She threw tantrums last year so many believed that she will attend this year’s ball but unfortunately, the ball was held the day after her major concert at the Big Dome.
