- The next “hugot” film of the year will be shown on September 19.
- Starring Alex Gonzaga, the film is about a woman who can’t forget about her ex-boyfriend and wants her heart changed – literally.
- It is written and directed by actor Fifth Solomon.
The “hugot” era is not ending anytime soon as more and more people fall prey to the ‘painful’ yet ‘comforting’ feeling of remembering their former lovers, former almost-lovers, or former pseudo-lovers.
There really is a strange solace in remembering the pain – both the happy and sad times you shared together, the places you visited together – heck, even the taste of the food you both loved.
And this female character named Jas Cruz, just like many of us, is very much in love – likewise very much heartsick – to the very point of considering changing her heart, literally. The eccentric character of Jas Cruz is played by multi-talented actress Alex Gonzaga while Vin Abrenica plays the heartbreaker.
In pursuit of forgetting her former flame, Jas turns to Doctor Rolex (portrayed by veteran actress Candy Pangilinan) and best friend (portrayed by Jerald Napoles) for help. This will then unfold to a story about dealing with the different stages of moving on – filled with bittersweet moments, guaranteed to keep you swooning, laughing, and crying as you go along on Jaz’s mission to free herself of the love she lost.
Showing on September 19, the movie also stars Rufa Mae Quinto, Jayson Gainza, Loisa Andalio, Alora Sasam, Joj Agpangan, Jai Agpangan, Ricci Chan, Juan Miguel Severo and Keiko Necesario. The film is written and directed by Fifth Solomon. Produced by Wilbros Films, a new film company by top concert promoter Wilbros Live.
