Edu Manzano is living up to his role in “FPJs Ang Probinsyano”. Rumors suggest that he was offered to run for the Senate in the upcoming 2019 elections.
However, according to Philstar’s source, Edu is not tempted to accept the offer. The actor is said to be tired of politics.
In 2010, Manzano attempted to win the Vice Presidential position in tandem with presidential candidate Gilbert Teodoro. He lost to then Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay.
Manzano also tried to compete in the senatorial elections in 2016 and again failed. He ranked no. 21 overall in COMELEC’s official senatorial tally.
The 2019 Senatorial Elections is expected to be a rough ride with a lot of aggressive competition. It’s probably a wise decision for Edu to decline the offer.
