Ogie received a question regarding Dingdong’s possible run. He wrote that it would be okay for him if the actor would run.
He then mentioned that it would be better than “Pepe-dede-ralismo” candidates such as Asec. Mocha Uson and pro-Duterte blogger Drew Olivar.

“”Si Dingdong Dantes, tatakbong Senador, okay ba sa ‘yo, Mama Ogs?”
–Oo naman. Sobra. Mas disente kesa sa Pepedederalismo.”

Dingdong comments.
Although he expressed his gratitude for the trust, Dingdong denied he will run for Senator.
“Salamat sa tiwala, Ogie. Pero hindi po ako tatakbong Senador.”

In earlier reports, Liberal Party released a list of their possible senate line-up for 2019. Dingdong’s name is a part of the said list along with Agot Isidro, Leah Navarro and Jim Paredes.
