- Robin Padilla was seen around the Senate premises.
- He said he would want to witness Senator Trillanes’ arrest.
Action star Robin Padilla dared Senator Antonio Trillanes IV to come out of the Senate and face the court.
On Wednesday, September 5, Padilla a known die-hard Duterte supporter went to the Senate grounds and challenged Senator Trillanes to face the music.
Padilla said Trillanes should man up and face the “real court” instead of hiding under the custody of the Senate.
“Ako may trabaho din ako, di ako makapagtrabaho eh kasi gusto ko makita ‘yung katapangan mo (Trillanes) na haharapin mo ‘yung kaso sayo. Humarap ka naman sa totoong korte,” the actor said.
Senator Trillanes took refuge inside the Senate building after President Duterte issued Proclamation 572 on Tuesday, September 4, “revoking” the amnesty granted by former President Benigno S. Aquino III.
Senator Trillanes stayed at the Senate, asserting that the proclamation is illegal and anomalous because his amnesty was valid having been received by the Department of National Defense and concurred by the Congress and the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, sought for his comment on Padilla’s latest antics, the fiery Senator just brushed him off. He described Padilla as childish and immature and advised him to grow up.
“Parang bata (He’s like a kid), it’s too petty. We’re dealing with national problems here tapos (then) you have immature people like that.” Senator Trillanes reacted.
Robin Padilla’s absolute pardon
It can be remembered that Robin Padilla was also granted executive clemency.
In 1997, former President Fidel Ramos granted Padilla conditional pardon after serving 3 years in prison for being convicted for the crime of illegal possession of firearms.
And just last November 2016, he was given absolute pardon by President Rodrigo Duterte after being one of his staunchest supporters.
