Ilocos Norte Tourism Head slammed Moira Dela Torre’s claim that she was not informed about the Marcos Fest.
After being heavily criticized by netizens for performing at the Marcos Fest in Ilocos Norte, acoustic singer Moira Dela Torre was quick to deny prior knowledge of the event’s Marcos connection.
Moira claimed she was made to know that it was Ilocano Millennial Night that she will be performing in. She blamed the producers for allegedly deliberately concealing the truth.
But Ilocos Norte Tourism Head Aian Raquel countered Dela Torre’s claim saying she knew all along about the Marcos Fest.
Raquel said, Moira was well informed about the event, as evidenced by the posters which were circulated weeks prior to the actual concert date.
“Nobody tricked you Moira Dela Torre. You knew that the event was called “Marcos Fest,” at the very least posters were up even before you flew to Laoag. Don’t make it seem like we lied to get you to perform,” Raquel wrote on Facebook.
He also asked Moira to talk to her management instead of blaming the producers.
“Ask your agent and your manager about it and please, don’t blame the “producers.”
Aside from Raquel, other netizens also posted their receipts countering Moira’s claim.
Twitter user @paranoid_androo showed a screenshot of the Marcos Centennial Facebook post containing the Marcos Fest concert where Moira was seen reacting with a heart reaction.
Meanwhile, @mikebreadpan shared a photo of Moira sharing the stage with Ilocos Norte governor Imee Marcos.
