Marian Rivera is excited to be part of GMA’s early Christmas treat for Filipinos in California. The show will be called “Kapusong Pinoy: Paskuhan at Kantawanan sa Anaheim” happening at The Grove of Anaheim on October 7, 2018.
She attended the show’s press conference on September 12 with several Kapuso stars namely Julie Anne San Jose, Christian Bautista, Super Tekla, and Donita Nose. Ai-Ai delas Alas wasn’t able to attend the press conference since she wasn’t feeling well.
Marian promised that they will give great cheer to Filipinos in California. However, this will probably be the only big project the Kapuso Primetime Queen will be having since she has a daughter to take care of.
When asked when will she appear in a teleserye again, she replied, “May usapan kasi kami ng GMA heads at ng asawa ko na kapag may trabaho ang isa, hindi magtatrabaho ang isa para sa anak namin.
“Ang nangyari before, sabay kami ni Dong, naawa ako sa anak ko. Parang walang nag-aalaga.
“Although nandiyan ang mama ko, ang mommy ni Dong pero iba pa rin kapag nandito kami para sa kanya.
“Kasi ako, lumaki sa lola, na ayokong mangyari sa anak ko. Sabi ko kay Dong, ‘Mag-decide tayo na kapag may trabaho ang isa, hindi magtatrabaho ang isa.’
“Nagkasundo kami nang ganoon. E, may offer sa akin ang GMA, may offer din sa kanya.
“Siya yung lalaki, siya yung magtrabaho, so siya na muna. After niyan, next year, ako naman.”
Long story short, we will be seeing more of Dingdong Dantes rather than Marian for the rest of 2018.
