James Reid was surprised when Daniel Padilla described him as an ultimate artist when DJ guested in “Gandang Gabi Vice.”
“Wow! I don’t know about the ultimate artist. I heard he’s doing pretty well on his movie. He’s right on the top so I don’t know how to take that compliment,” James reacted.
James Reid was present during the 9th and 10th Star Awards For Music of the Philippine Movie Press Club at Resorts World Manila where he was interviewed by PEP.
James was also happy when he learned that Daniel also complimented his partner Nadine as “fearless na babae.”
James agreed, “Yes, she’s on the phase of exploring herself, finding out what she wants to do next, so I think it’s really for her.”
His latest movie “Miss Granny” with Sarah Geronimo and Xian Lim was a success. During the Star Awards for Music, James and Xian were recognized as the 2018 Male Pop Artists of the Year.
James’ “Cool Down” album was also recognized as the 2018 Pop Album of the Year. He was astounded to take home the trophy and considered it as a bonus for his promising career.
“Honestly, when I first made the album, I wasn’t planning on winning… I think I won Album of the Year.
“I just made it for my own creative satisfaction, something I really needed at that time. So, this is really a bonus, I appreciate the recognition,” James finished.
