Commercial model-turned-actor Ced Torrecarion more known as Ced Carreon admitted that he once contemplated suicide.
Ced was nicknamed “King Cobra” after his video scandal went viral in 2000.
Suicidal thoughts.
During a press conference, Torrecarion revealed that he felt lost that time.
“I was really lost… There was a time that I wanted to end everything- to cut everything. I usually share this to a group of people… sa church. Kasi, nagkaroon po ng panahong babang-baba ako… na kinukuwestiyon ko Siya (ang Diyos). Kahit na sagradong Katoliko kami, I still question Him, ‘Why is this happening to me? Why is this happening to my life?’ There was a time na talagang walang-wala ako, na gusto ko nang i-give up ang lahat. I wanted to end it all…”
Ced shared that he had an epiphany which saved him from a really dark place.
“But then, there was an epiphany. The moment I closed my eyes and about to end it, I saw His face. And then, humingi ako ng tawad sa Kanya. Kasi, alam po natin na ang buhay natin dito sa mundo ay hiram lang. At nobody can take it, diba?”
Lowest point.
Ced shared the lowest point in his life. He shared that the video scandal wasn’t what made him want to end it all.
“Lowest point of my life, iyong ipinagkait sa akin ang anak ko. Kasi, as a dad, mahirap yung ipagkait sa iyo ang anak mo, di ba? I’ve been doing my best… to work hard… for my family. Ganyan-ganyan. Tapos, bigla na lang iba. Yun ‘yon during that time.”
“Tapos, sumabay pa yung… that was 2007, nag-sabbatical ako noon sa showbiz. Talagang… muntik na yun! I wanted to end everything. But then, buti, the Lord was there. And my family was there to support.”
