- “It’s Showtime” studio recently experienced a blackout.
- Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis’ microphones were still working and the latter kept screaming.
- Vice joked that the show wasn’t able to pay for electricity.
A sudden blackout happened during the live episode of It’s Showtime on September 18, Tuesday. Hosts Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis were interviewing one of the contestants of the Miss Q & A segment when everything went dark.
The channel and program logos, however, were still visible. This meant that the It’s Showtime studio was the only one that experienced a blackout.
The blackout.
Vice and Anne’s microphones were still working. The latter could be heard screaming multiple times. Her screaming was apparently because of Vice playing a trick, tickling her leg in the dark.
Vice jokes.
When the lights went back, Vice and Anne asked whether or not they were still airing. Vice joked that the show wasn’t able to pay for electricity.
“Pasensya na ho kayo. May mga pagkakataon talagang hindi tayo nakakabayad ng kuryente… Buti na lang, may kakilala kaming taga pihit ng kuntador, at nagawan agad ng paraan. Sana makabayad tayo bukas.”
Vice used his wit to breeze through similar incidents in the past. In April, a broken prop which delayed a segment, prompted Vice to joke about TV viewers who should switch channels to a rival program.
