President Rodrigo Duterte is set to have a “showbiz” type press conference during his national address on Tuesday, September 11.
Speaking to reporters, Special Assistant to the President Bong Go said, the national address set for Tuesday afternoon will be a showbiz-type discussion with Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo.
“Ang plano nga si Atty. Panelo ang kanyang co-host… itatanong ko mamaya kung matutuloy yun. So medyo magiging showbiz type po ito na presscon,” SAP Bong Go said.
Go also added that it was Panelo’s idea to set the talk in a “glamorous showbiz” mode.
“Idea ni Atty. Panelo yung pagset… so it will be a glamorous discussion,” Go added.
President Duterte is set to speak to the nation on Tuesday afternoon as confirmed by Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque.
Roque said the President announced in Davao that he wants to speak to the nation on Tuesday, but did not elaborate on what specific agenda or topic.
“He announced in Davao that he wants to speak to the nation. That’s tomorrow. Let’s wait for tomorrow,” said Roque.
Duterte and his government are again in the middle of criticism after the country’s inflation rate hit its highest after almost a decade at 6.4%.
Another blunder that the administration is facing is Duterte’s controversial proclamation revoking the amnesty granted to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
