- Alden Richards revealed he is a big fan of Gary Valenciano.
- He admires how Gary V performs on stage and dreams to be like him.
- He hopes to achieve the same level of energy as Mr. Pure Energy’s in his concert on September 21.
Alden Richards talks about his upcoming concert titled “Adrenaline Rush” happening on September 21. During the interview, he didn’t fail to mention his idol when it comes to performing on stage – Gary V.
“Ang sarap po sanang maging Gary V,” was his initial statement.
“Kasi, all-out performer po si Sir Gary. With his age now, yung performance po niya is still unparalleled, wala pa rin pong makapantay.”
The actor revealed that he sometimes day-dreams that he would someday become someone like Mr. Pure Energy.
“Ganun po kasi minsan, kapag nanonood ako ng concert, especially po when a performer is an all-out performer, sings and dances, nai-imagine ko po minsan ang sarili ko, parang ang sarap makagawa ng ganitong show.
“Like, kapag nanonood ako ng videos ng international stars, sina Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber, ang sarap pong they’re doing something that they love and yet napaka-grand, napakasarap ng feeling.
“Sana po ganun ang ma-achieve ko sa concert na ‘to.”
Singing and dancing simultaneously is not new to Alden because he had to do the same routine previously in several GMA variety shows. However, he remains humble by admitting that he still has a hard time performing flawlessly.
He also said that he is not a very good singer and dancer, but that is not the main challenge. What matters is his heart is in the right place when performing and most importantly entertain the audience.
“Whenever I’m given task, no matter what the circumstances ang dumating sa akin I see to it na I will work my heart out to deliver po para hindi mapahiya sa mga taong naniniwala sa akin.
“I just want this concert to be successful for myself kasi previously po, yung mga ginagawa kong project, I always dedicate it to the people outside.
“So ngayon po, for a change, sa sarili ko naman para ma-reward ko ang sarili ko sa mga efforts ko these past years,” Alden concluded.
