Pinay Beauty star Chai Fonacier expressed her dismay at entertainment media for asking actors about their sexuality. In a Twitter thread, Chai noted how these reporters are usually from Manila.
She pointed out that Cebuano reporters are better in conducting interviews.
“Anti-gay ka yata, eh!”
Fonacier observed how these reporters are usually gay themselves.
“Entertainment media to other actors: bakla ka ba?
Me: ikaw, bakla ka rin, diba? Bakit mo nilalagay sa alanganin ang pagiging bakla ng isang aktor? Hindi ka ba marunong sumuporta sa grupong kinabibilangan mo? Anti gay ka yata eh! Kahit gay ka rin”
“Trabaho niya ‘yun, eh.”
Chai mentioned that if an actor is good, they can either play straight or gay characters regardless of their sexuality.
“Kinginamo ka, ipokrito ka. Understand: an actor, whether gay or not in real life, can play straight or gay characters lalo na kung magaling siya. Trabaho niya yun eh. Anong isyu mo, gago ka?”
“Oras na para i-call out namin kayo.”
Fonacier detailed how their parents wasted their money in sending said reporters to college.
“Kung may issue ka tungkol dito, i’ll call you out: gago ka na, bobo ka pa. Sayang yung ginastos ng magulang mo para makapag college ka, putanginamo.”
Chai indicated how it is time for people to call out said reporters.
“Good luck, oras na para i-call out namin kayo. Magtanong kayo mg matinong tanong please for once, entertainment media sa Manila! Alam nyo, mas magaling pa magtanong ang taga Cebu kesa sa inyo.”
