Can you imagine Nadine Lustre in a movie without James Reid? That’s just about to be realized in Ulan, Nadine’s first big screen outing without her reel and real-life partner James Reid.
The Viva young actress admits that she is both challenged by and excited with the project.
Viva Artists posted a photo on Instagram showing that they are already editing scenes from Ulan.
In previous interviews, Nadine described her role as, “Maraming pagbabago sa character ko, based on experiences.
“It’s new, parang bagong stepping stone siya para sa akin kasi nga this time hiwalay kami ni James. Dito ko po talaga malalaman kung kaya ko ba ng wala siya. Joke!
“I mean it’s healthy to be able to work separately and to work together at the same time. At least we both grow together and to work separately.”
Ulan is directed by Irene Villamor, the same director of Anne Curtis and Dingdong Dantes’ hit movie Sid & Aya: Not A Love Story.
“It’s a big thing for me to be able to work with Direk Irene, kasi nga yung mga naging project niya before. And I’m really, really excited talaga kasi maganda talaga yung story,” Nadine shared.
“I’m really, really excited for this one kasi this is more about finding yourself. Yung character ko dito she will undergo a lot. It’s about finding yourself and learning to love yourself.
“That’s pretty much always what I tell other people when they ask me, ‘How do I get over a break up? Paano ako sasaya and all?’ It’s just simple. Just love yourself. I’m excited to work on this project. This is what I really stand for, self-love,” she added.
Will Nadine have a love interest in Ulan?
She reveals, “Meron. Secret muna. You’ll find out soon.”
Those whose names have been attached to the project are Xian Lim, Marco Gumabao, and AJ Muhlach.
Meanwhile, Nadine has another upcoming movie titled Maria Makiling which is presumed to be connected somehow to James Reid’s Pedro Penduko. Details about Maria Makiling are yet to be made public.
