Kris Aquino has acknowledged Melai Contiveros’ efforts to touch base with the actress-host.
Melai was deeply touched with by Kris’ gesture. “Thank you so much Ms. Kris kasi na-appreciate pala niya ‘yung mga text ko.
“Kasi hindi ko naman alam kung na-a-appreciate niya during that time so ngayon nalaman ko na at least may kahihinatnan pala ‘yung mga concern ko sa kanya. May impact pala.”
Kris Aquino is currently busy about the red carpet premiere of the international film Crazy Rich Asians which she is a part of.
Proud mom
Melai is equally proud of her 4-year old daughter Mela who had her runway debut in the Fashion Walk-off Event.
The Fashion Walk-off Event was held July 31 in Makati City, “First time din niya rumampa ngayon si Mela so parang sobra akong na-proud sa kanya.
“Hindi ko lang ma-express yung feelings ko kasi nasa stage ako pero bilang mama naisip ko, ‘Ay anak, it’s your time to shine!’ Ganun. Kasi parang sinasabi sa kanya, ‘Eto anak gagawin mo, i-enjoy mo lang anak ha. Pero hindi ka mag-pe-play ngayon.’
She said that the fashion event was a good way to instill discipline in her little daughter. “Dapat alam mo na may responsibility na kaakibat itong ginagawa niya. Para alam niya kung kailan maglalaro at kailan kailangan gawin itong bagay na ito.
“Thank you, Lord kay Mela. Disiplinado siya. Meron akong disciplinary action na ginagawa sa kanya.”
Melai also talked about her 1-year old daughter Stela and husband Jason Francisco.
“Yung one-year-old na anak ko thank God napakabait niya na bata and si Jason naman nasa kabilang channel siya.
“So, talagang mini-make sure namin na kaming mag-asawa ay mayroon kaming pang-hanapbuhay sa mga anak namin para talaga sa future meron silang pang-school,” said Melai, one of the mainstays in the weekday morning show Magandang Buhay.
