Signal disruptions
Viewers called out Sky Cable on an alleged planned signal interruption during the airing of Victor Magtanggol on July 30 and 31, Monday and Tuesday. One viewer wished that it would be fixed before Victor Magtanggol aired last August 1, Wednesday. Sky Cable is a subsidiary of the media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation.
Noiv Calderon noted that Sky Cable subscribers started to experience signal interruptions while watching Victor Magtanggol.

The Story, so far
Victor Magtanggol Rewind features the beginning of Alden Richards’ character’s adventures. The series started with the battle of Thor (Conan Stevens) against Loki (John Estrada), causing Asgard to vanish. Victor went to Canada to work as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and to look for his mother, Vivienne (Coney Reyes).
While attending to Mr. Magnus (Miguel Faustmann), Victor held an old compass which lit up the moment he touched it. Loki came back to life, putting Magnus’ life in jeopardy. Before he died, he gave Victor the magic compass which led him to a mysterious mountain. Victor later found an iron gauntlet which allowed him to use the Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer.
Ratings
According to Kantar Media, Victor Magtanggol Rewind received a rating of 9.6%. On the other hand, Kapamilya Mega Blockbusters: The Ghost Bride garnered 13.7%.
