Ogie Alcasid has been in the showbiz industry for 30 years as a singer-songwriter and actor. He is not afraid when the time comes that he is no longer popular.
He said, “Hindi ako takot malaos.
Ogie admits that being eventually unpopular is inevitable.
At medyo nararamdaman ko na rin minsan yon and it doesn’t bother me at all. Serious ako, ha… serious ako.”
Does he have a backup plan when the time comes?
“I think kung ganun yung disposisyon mo, you’ll be fine. Kasi the end result is ang sarap ng trabaho ko, okey ka na don.
“I will never retire hangga’t humihinga tayo.
“I will never stop being an entertainer because that’s my life. Hindi ako mabubuhay ng walang ano… But I’ve to admit, mahilig akong magnegosyo.”
Turns out, the singer-songwriter does have a backup plan and he is proud of it.
“I have restaurants (Hungry Samurai where the pocket interview was held). I have Ryu Ramen, I have A Team, we produce concerts, we’re co-producing films.
“And then, meron kaming negosyo ni Regine, it’s called Green Food. It’s gourmet tuyo na mina-market namin ngayon at sobrang mabenta.
“Then I have a sound and light company called Thunder and Lightning, we’re going to use that din sa Araneta concert ko at nagsu-supply din kami sa ibang concerts and parties.
Witness Ogie Alcasid still kicking at 30 in his concert “OA: Ogie Alcasid 30th Anniversary Concert” in Araneta Coliseum this coming August 24.
