The most daring teleserye on TV this year, “Halik,” just achieved its all-time high national TV rating. The Jericho Rosales-starrer gained its highest rating so far for its episode last Friday (August 24) where Lino (Jericho) and Jacky (Yen Santos) confront their respective spouses about their problems.
The national TV ratings of “Halik” has been continuously rising since its premiere last August 13, until it breached the 20-point mark last Friday. It received a rating of 20.7%, beating its rival “Inday Will Always Love You (12.9%),” according to data from Kantar Media.
In the episode, Ace (Sam Milby) successfully covers up his affair with Jacky’s secretary, while Lino and Jade (Yam Concepcion) encounter another road bump to their independence when he announced that his family will move in with them in their new home.
Many netizens were able to relate to what Lino and Jade were going through which is why its hashtag, #PalusotNaHalik, trended on Twitter.
@jhegequillo tweeted that Jade should be more understanding of Lino’s family, “Hindi namn agad agad makakabukod ka Jade kailangan mong alalahanin mahirap lg kayo it takes time ano ba #PalusotNaHalik”
Meanwhile, @_yssarmina let Twitter know why she’s Team Jade in the discussion, “at some point, naiintindihan ko naman si jade kung bakit gusto nya bumukod, bakit naman kasi lahat sila asa kay lino. #PalusotNaHalik”
This is only the beginning of Lino and Jade’s marital problems as Ace will begin making new ones for them.
